Maple Trails ·
Two Ways To
Enter The Forest
Threaded through the hillsides of Ikarashi are two quiet ways into the maple forest — a stone-paved valley path beneath a canopy of red and gold, and a gentler route that follows a clear mountain stream. Each trail moves at its own pace, but both share the same invitation: to slow down and walk with the color.

Trail Essentials
A few simple notes to help you enjoy either trail comfortably and leave the forest as quiet as you found it.
WHAT TO WEAR · 服装
Comfortable Footwear
Wear closed, comfortable walking shoes with good grip — stone paving and tree roots can be slippery, especially after rain. Bring a light layer, as the forest air stays cool under the canopy.
WALKING PACE ·
Take Your Time
Neither trail is a race. Give yourself extra time beyond the walking estimate to pause at overlooks, photograph the light through the leaves, or simply sit and listen to the stream.
RESPECT THE FOREST ·
Leave No Trace
- Keep to the marked path and avoid stepping on moss or exposed roots.
- Carry out anything you carry in — there are no bins along the trails.
- Keep voices low; the quiet is part of the experience for other walkers and local wildlife.
- Photograph freely, but avoid picking leaves or disturbing stones and lanterns.
